On The Threshold of Spring 🌱A Practice Update

revelstoke skunk cabbage

We are all just little skunk cabbages aren’t we?

“On the threshold of spring, we begin to notice a quiet awakening within. If winter was a season of silence, invite the birds of spring to bring song back into your life. Observe the stagnant places revealed by winter’s hibernation and let them go.”

Sheryl Paul, The Wisdom of Anxiety

On the Threshold.

Alas, here we are on the threshold of spring! This last week, waking up with the morning light streaming through the windows and the return of the morning bird song, I can feel the seed of potential deep within myself. I’m ready to crack out my protective shell, let the first rays of light in, taste the sweet crisp spring air, inhale deeply and expand into a new season of growth.

I’m happy to share that I am back in Revelstoke, and have resumed my regular counselling schedule. If you do not see a time that works for you, please feel free to reach out.

🌱Growing Into Year Two of Private Practice 🌱

This marks my second year in private practice, and I feel deeply grateful to continue building Wholehearted Counselling within this community.

I’m now offering Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapy, an evidence-based approach that can be especially supportive for trauma, anxiety, and distressing life experiences.

I am also now welcoming adolescents (ages 12–17), in addition to adults.

Beginning in mid-March, I will be offering walk-and-talk sessions — a more natural, less formal way to engage in counselling while moving outdoors. For many people, walking side-by-side can make difficult conversations feel more accessible and grounded.

Areas of Focus

I offer holistic, integrative counselling support for:

  • Anxiety and depression

  • Grief and end of life

  • Life transitions

  • Spirituality and meaning-making

  • Nervous system regulation

My approach is rooted in warmth, collaboration, and respect for each person’s inner wisdom.

A Small Request

A request for you! As counselling is based on trust and respect, word of mouth is an integral part of building a client base!

As I am building my private practice, I would be so appreciative if you pass on my contact information to anyone who could benefit from my services.

For clients where finances are a barrier, I hold two sliding scale spaces at any given time. One will be opening later this month.

Thank you for your continued trust and connection — it truly means a great deal to me.

Warmly,

Hilary Zeeuwen, RCC #24391
